The Northern Texas PGA Foundation recognizes the great contributions and sacrifices that men and women who are currently serving or have served in the military have made for our country. Through the game of golf, our Foundation works towards helping these men and women through the PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) Program. PGA HOPE introduces golf to Veterans to enhance their physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being.

Join a PGA HOPE Program

Programs are reserved for active members of the military and/or Veterans who have not yet participated in a local PGA HOPE program.

What is a PGA HOPE Program?

PGA HOPE is the flagship military program of PGA of America REACH Foundation. 


PGA HOPE programs in Northern Texas introduce the game of golf through a developmental, 6-week curriculum taught by local PGA Professionals trained in adaptive golf techniques to work with Veterans with disabilities. The cost of programming is free to all Active Duty Military and Veterans. 


PGA HOPE has a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), which enables Recreational Therapists to refer Veterans to the PGA HOPE program as a form of therapy. Through a robust program strategy, PGA HOPE aspires to create a physically and emotionally healthier Veteran community by shaping lives, changing lives, and possibly saving lives through the game of golf.

PGA of America REACH Foundation works with PGA Sections, PGA Professionals, and VA hospitals to identify golf courses and communities that are willing to host and would benefit from the program. Below are the current courses that host PGA HOPE programs in our Section.

Spring PGA HOPE Registration

PGA HOPE Graduation

A PGA HOPE graduation is typically comprised of a 9-hole scramble, followed by a graduation ceremony. Veterans will be recognized individually for their participation in PGA HOPE.
